There ain't no place
for me to settle down
I went walkin' down the street
everyone lookin' at my frown
I be walkin' in white man country
where I ain't respected
I be walkin' down the lane
feeling neglected
Then the doctor made his speech
fillin' my heart with a new beat
I didn't feel isolated anymore
as I listened to the doctor's amazing feat
But the white men don't listen
many shops closed in town
so there ain't no place
for me to settle down
